Write a short note on BIMSTEC.

BIMSTEC

The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) is a group of seven countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. It was formed in 1997 to improve cooperation in areas like trade, technology, energy, tourism, and disaster management.

BIMSTEC helps countries work together to solve common problems like poverty, climate change, and natural disasters. Nepal benefits from BIMSTEC through better trade, improved connections, and support in areas like hydropower and tourism.

By cooperating, BIMSTEC countries aim to build stronger economies and improve the lives of people in the region.
